I booked eleven appointments in four days, which was two too many, and came home with the calmest skin I have had.

Here is what each thing was, what it cost, and whether I would do it again.

Book fewer things than you think

Two treatments a day is the ceiling. I did three on the Tuesday and spent Wednesday red and useless, which cost me a day of the trip.

Leave the last day clear entirely. Whatever you have done will look its best about seventy-two hours later, and you want to be somewhere nice for that, not on a plane.

What to book, and what to skip

The gentle, stackable things — hydrating infusions, mild laser toning, LED — are where Seoul is unbeatable on price and consistency. That is what I would fill a trip with.

I would skip anything aggressive on a short trip. A deep resurfacing treatment three days before a flight is a bad trade, and one of my eleven appointments was exactly that mistake.

Practical things nobody mentions

Many clinics want cash or a Korean card, so ask when you book. Bring a translation app for the consent forms, and take a photograph of the aftercare instructions before you leave the room.

Questions
Are skin treatments cheaper in Seoul?

Roughly a third of Los Angeles prices for the equivalent treatment, in my experience, with better consistency at the mid-tier clinics.

How many days do you need in Seoul for treatments?

Five, with two treatments a day maximum and the last day clear. I tried to do it in four and lost a day to being red.

Do Seoul clinics speak English?

The clinics used to international patients do. Bring a translation app for consent forms anyway, and photograph the aftercare notes.
